MOH GC7 Grant Cycle Orientation: A Successful Three-Day Workshop
The Ministry of Health’s HIV Lead Executive Office recently hosted a comprehensive three-day orientation workshop in Adama for its Sub-recipients, regional Health bureaus and Civic Society Organizations. This workshop focused on the Global Fund GC7 HIV Grant, held from September 18-20, 2024.
Mr. Fekadu Yadeta, Director of the HIV Lead Executive Office, delivered the opening speech at the Ministry of Health, setting the stage for the informative sessions that followed. Over the three days, participants delved into various aspects of the Global Fund GC7 HIV Grant, including:
- Day One:
- Global Fund NFM3 HIV grant closing process, challenges, and lessons learned
- Global Fund GC7 HIV grant and program activities implementation orientation
- Day Two:
- Global Fund GC7 Performance framework
- Orientation on Global Fund Grant Management
- Target allocation with CSOs and regions
- Day Three:
- MRIS indicators and reporting tools
- Code of conduct for Global Fund Recipients (presented by Mr. Dagim Damtew, CCM/E Executive Secretary)
Throughout the workshop, participants had ample opportunities to ask questions, share comments, and engage in thoughtful discussions. The presenters, experts in their fields, provided clear explanations and addressed all inquiries.
The workshop concluded with a closing session where participants reflected on the three days of presentations and shared their final thoughts and impressions.
