HIV/AIDS Constituency CSOs Meeting

On June 4, 2025, the CCM/E Secretariat convened a meeting with the HIV/AIDS Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Constituency at Dream Liner Hotel. The participants included CSOs working in the field of HIV/AIDS, as well as organizations representing key and priority populations and those affected by the disease.
The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen the engagement of civil society organizations in the CCM/E processes, particularly in planning, decision-making, and evaluation. The session featured a series of key presentations followed by in-depth discussions.

Key Presentation Topics:
- Community Engagement Plan and Bidirectional Communication: This session emphasized strategies to enhance meaningful community engagement and promote effective two-way communication between stakeholders and constituencies.
- Navigating GC7 Adaptations: Preserving Lifesaving HIV Services
- NEP+ Advocacy for Sustainability and Domestic Resource Mobilization
- Implementation of the Global Fund GC7 Grant by CSOs (CCRDA, ISHDO, and OSSHD):
The session also highlighted challenges in grant and budget revision.

- Prioritize increasing domestic funding within each organization to sustain HIV interventions and reduce reliance on external donors.
- Resolve pending activities and determine how they will proceed under current budget revisions.
- Demonstrate strong evidence of implementation performance under the GC7 grant to support prioritization and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Reassess the selection criteria for towns when establishing Drop-In Centers (DICs).
- Emphasize the role of CSOs in reflecting community voices during the prioritization process.
- Strengthen platforms that promote constructive engagement and partnership with Principal Recipients (PRs) and other stakeholders.
- Revitalize networking among HIV/AIDS constituencies to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Enhance civil society engagement in CCM/E to amplify community voices in governance processes.
