The first CCM/E regular meeting for the Grant Cycle 7 (GC 7) was held in December 17th, 2024
The 116th regular meeting of the CCM/E was successfully held at the Elilly International Hotel in Addis Ababa. This meeting marked the launch of discussions for the first period of Grant Cycle 7 (GC 7).
Her Excellency Mrs. Semereta Sewasew, State Minister of the Ministry of Finance and Chair of the CCM/E, warmly welcomed members and alternates to the initial GC7 meeting. She highlighted the impressive 99.5% absorption rate achieved under NFM3 by the Principal Recipient (PR) and Sub-Recipients (SRs). H.E. Mrs. Semereta emphasized the need to sustain this high level of performance in GC 7, particularly by ensuring the timely disbursement and absorption of grant funds. She also extended a warm welcome to the newly elected CCM/E members and alternates attending the 116th meeting.
As this was the first meeting focused on GC 7, key agenda items included:
- Election of Leadership: H.E. Mrs. Semereta Sewasew was re-elected as Chairperson of the CCM/E, while Dr. Girmachew Mamo was elected as Vice Chairperson.
- Committee Endorsements: The nominations for the three standing CCM/E committees were reviewed and approved.
The Oversight and Compliance Officer presented a review of the programmatic and financial performance for GC7’s first period (July–September 2024). Participants engaged in constructive discussions on all agenda items.
